Calibration/Repair Services

The company offers repair and calibration service to all makes and models of Radiation Detectors. We have extensive experience with everything from hand held Survey Meters used to search for Radioactive Materials to Portal monitors used in steel plants, scrap recycling yards and landfill sites. Our normal turnaround for repair/calibration is 3-5 business days.

We offer and specialize in the factory spec repairs including Dose Rate and Energy Calibration of hand held Scintillometers, Isotope identifiers, and portable Gamma Ray Spectrometers specializing in instruments manufactured by Exploranium and SAIC / Exploranium. We offer full technical support for the above and can supply Operators/Users Manuals, Computer Interface Software and solid technical advice on the use of these instruments and interpretation of Data collected by them. We carry a full line of replacement hardware, Detector Cables, Communication Cables, Power Supplies and electronic parts and PCB's to support the above.

Radiation Monitor Services is one of, if not the only, company in the world fully equipped to Calibrate and repair a very popular discontinued line of Scintillometers, portable Gamma Ray Spectrometers and Kappameters manufactured by Exploranium and SAIC / Exploranium used in the exploration and mining industries. These include the GR-110G, GR-130 all models, GR-135 all models and the Portable spectrometer GR-320.

A factory specified suite of radioactive isotopes is used to check the response and identification performance of the instruments.

Industry Standard Calibration Pads are used to calibrate the Gamma Ray Spectrometers used in Mineral Exploration.

Calibrations to Dose Rate measuring instruments is done to manufacturers specifications within CNSC R-117 regulations using NIST traceable sources.

Radiation Monitor Services also offers support in the preparation of an in house Radiation Safety Program compliant with CNSC regulations on a contract or sub-contract basis. This service is also available for the shipment of Radioactive Materials. We offer support for both the physical preparation of the shipment and the necessary documentation required for transport.
